The riders of the 2019 MXGP of Portugal will take to the circuit of Agueda tomorrow morning but today they met with the Portuguese fans in a special media event.
The nearby city of Aveiro’s shopping center hosted the fans and media while the riders were delivered by limousine. The group included Team HRC’s Tim Gajser and Brian Bogers, Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Julien Lieber, Standing Construct KTM’s Max Anstie, Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha Official MX2’s Ben Watson, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado and Tom Vialle, F&H Racing Kawasaki’s Henry Jacobi, Adam Sterry, and Roan van de Moosdjik, Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing’s Micha-Boy De Waal and Sven Van der Mierden, plus representatives from the Portuguese wild cards.
Upon arriving to the center with a special lift given by a white limousine, riders visited the retail store of local GP sponsor Mike Davis where they each received gifts before meeting the local fans to sign autographs and take photos. To finish out the trip the riders took some family photos and then headed back to the track to prepare for tomorrow’s qualifying action.
