The 2019 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations was not short of some epic racing from start to finish. While nations battled it out for the Chamberlain Trophy, there was also another prize up for grabs and that was the Fox Holeshot Prize.
Starts are always a very important part of any race but even more so at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations as each team fights for the advantage. And with many riders joining us for the race weekend from all corners of the world, it gave the opportunity for somebody new to have a shot at winning the Fox Holeshot competition.
Nonetheless, it was this year’s MXGP Champion, Team Slovenia’s Tim Gajser with the holeshot in the opening MXGP & MX2 race. In the second race, Team Estonia’s Harri Kullas had an incredible start ahead of the field, closely followed by Team Netherland’s Glenn Coldenhoff. In the third and final race of the weekend, it was once again Tim Gajser who got a flying start ahead of Jeremy Van Horebeek and Ivo Monticelli.
The winners of the Fox Holeshot Prize not only got the advantage of getting out front in the races but were also awarded with a prize cheque presented by the team at Fox.
